The NSFA Winter season competition has now come to a close. Over the last five months, we saw our players develop and mature playing together. Beside playing some exciting games against teams from different parts of the North Shore, the family bonding experiences, camaraderie, car pooling and friendships toped our list as far as our player’s development is concerned. A massive thank you to our coaches and Managers for making the experience of playing for Mongo FC this season a memorable and enjoyable one. The focus will now turn to individual player development for the remainder of term 3 and 4 as the program welcomes more young people eager to develop their football ability playing year round.
The Friendship Cup draw for the remainder of this term has now been published on on the Mongo Football Website. With over 90 registered players the Friendship Cup will provide continuity with Saturday morning routine and competition for players and their families. From a development point of view, players have a unique opportunity to continue to develop their game intelligence, decision making and game understanding within the reduced format of the competition weekly in week out.
Mongo FC parents, players, friends and families are celebrating the end to the winter season with a BBQ tomorrow at holly street park in Castle Cove from 10am to 2pm. All the players, friends and families are welcome to join us. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
