Newsletter T1/W10

The winter competition season kicks off next weekend with our teams scheduled  to play at different locations in around the district. The competition is a welcome one for the players who are looking forward to playing games after a busy pre season.
Parents will also be put to the test as they go through a roller coaster of emotions watching their child play while controlling the urge to dictate the game from the outside. We encourage parents to take a step back and let the players play and have fun. The technical and tactical challenges are left to the coach and technical team to resolve during games and training sessions.

From term 2 our 14 year tradition of producing a weekly newsletter will shift to a monthly newsletter. We believe members and families will be better served via our social media channels able to provide daily communication, breaking news  and updates about the program as a whole. Please make sure you follow our social media channels: facebook – twitter – tiktok – instagram – YouTube – telegram.

The training environment was again a vibrant and dynamic affair this week with a focus to game play and preparation. Despite the good progress observed so far, there is still a long way to go from a collective aspect given most of out teams are newly formed ones. We look forward to seeing how those teams mature over the course of the season.

With the Easter long weekend, Monday April 1st a public holiday and therefore no training will take place on that day. Players will return to training on Wednesday April 3rd.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to act as team managers for the upcoming season. Your support is very appreciated.

Happy Easter!

Cheers
